Why Marriages Fail - and How to help yours

Does your marriage look like the one on the left or the right?

Marriages fail for two reasons. Stress and not topping up the love bank.

Every relationship goes through stress - it's called life - and things don't always happen as expected. None of us know what is around the corner but research shows some fundamental differences in the impact on relationships.

If your relationship is based on a strong foundation of mutual respect, care, generosity of spirit, shared future vision, concern and willingness to share decisions, it will survive whatever life throws at it.

On the other hand, if jealousy, resentment, anger, tussling for power, ongoing grievances, unforgiveness, belittling, disregarding and a pervading feeling of not being on the same side describes the state of your marriage then the outlook is not so good.

So, what can be done if your relationship is littered with the trash of unresolved issues, angry arguments, dysfunctional debris, selfish desires, broken dreams and empty promises? Turn it into a well-kept, nurtured, weed-free garden!

"And how would we do that?!" I hear you ask. Well, marriage comes without a manual and we bring our own - not altogether helpful - experiences and ideas into the mix, so it is not surprising that the divorce rate is hitting 50%. Don't feel bad about it, DO SOMETHING to make the changes instead. The Marriage Worxx Program is now easily available.

The Marriage Worxx program IS NOT counselling - counselling has a very low success rate. The program is designed using the most effective tools available to repair relationships. All it takes is commitment to see the course through. And it needn't involve both partners. Change will happen when just one of you implements the steps. Both of you working through the program will of course get quicker results, but often the reluctant partner joins in when they experience the profound changes anyway. Don't let your partners reticence or criticism stop you. At the very least, you will gain valuable personal insights and increased self-esteem.
